| Born
in South Philadelphia, Michelle always knew she was
destined to sing. Regularly in demand to perform at
school events, she studied with a private music teacher
who recognized her talents and arranged for her to appear
at a variety of local and state functions. She entered
and won several performance contests including one,
sponsored by The Tropicana in Atlantic City, which earned
her the opportunity to perform there through the entire
summer.
Michelle went on to appear at other top Atlantic City
venues including Resorts International, Caesar’s
Palace, Trump Plaza, Harrah’s and the Taj Mahal,
opening for such stars as Pat Cooper and McFadden &
Whitehead. Until recently, she has performed regularly
at Caesar's Palace Party Pit with her group, ‘Michelle
& M Street’, and with Rita Stafford's band,
‘The Party Wave’. She will shortly begin
appearing with her new group, ‘Michelle and Friends’.
This past December, Michelle was a hit at a benefit
for the NYPD, and she is scheduled to perform during
the 2007 baseball season at Shea Stadium.
Michelle’s
brand new remake of the Minnie Riperton classic, “Lovin’
You”, was released January 15 on Thump Records
(distributed by Universal). Michelle deals effortlessly
with the range demanded by this treasured Riperton composition.
Michelle records under the expert guidance of legendary
arranger/producer Tony Camillo and is managed by renowned
‘Idol Maker’ Bob Marcucci. Her personal
agent is Vinnie D’Angelo.
Michelle
will appear, both acting and singing, in a film entitled
“Sing Out” featuring Patti LaBelle, co-produced
by Marcucci and Suzanne DeLaurentiis and scored by Camillo,
which is set to begin production in the spring. (see
